Thrust roller bearings are a special kind of rotary bearing built to handle heavy forces-known as axial or thrust loads-moving parallel to the shaft. Unlike radial bearings that support weight perpendicular to a shaft, thrust roller bearings manage pushes and pulls along the axis, offering high rigidity and load strength.
This product line contains two mainstream structures:spherical roller thrust bearings and cylindrical roller thrust bearings. The whole bearing adopts a split separable design, composed of shaft washer, housing washer and roller-cage assembly for independent disassembly and easy mounting. The complete dimensional range covers inner diameter 127 mm to 700 mm,outer diameter 150 mm to 800 mm and total thickness 48 mm to 270 mm,with precision grades P0,P6,P5 and P4 optional to match general and ultra-precision equipment separately.
For raw materials, bearing rings and rollers adopt standard GCr15 high-carbon chromium bearing steel;SUS440 stainless steel customized versions are available for anti-corrosion,cleanroom environments.Cage options include brass, nylon 66 and stamped steel to satisfy different speed and temperature working conditions.Standard stock delivery takes 5-12 days, while non-standard customized bearings require separate confirmation with our technical team.
Two Core Structural Types
Spherical Roller Thrust Bearings Rollers feature spherical profiles matching spherical raceways on housing washers, with ±2°-3° self-aligning compensation to offset shaft deflection and assembly misalignment. They can bear a small amount of radial load together with huge axial load, ideal for eccentric heavy-load working scenes.
Cylindrical Roller Thrust Bearings Parallel cylindrical rollers form full line contact with flat washers, delivering ultra-high axial positioning accuracy up to P4 grade with tiny axial runout. They are fit for precision equipment without deflection, though barely capable of carrying radial force.
High Axial Load Capacity:The line contact provided by the rollers yields superior axial rigidity and load ratings compared to ball thrust bearings of similar size.
Minimal Radial Load Tolerance:Standard thrust cylindrical and tapered roller bearings are designed strictly for pure axial loads. However, thrust spherical roller bearings can accommodate combined radial and axial loads due to their angled raceway design.
High Rigidity & Deflection Resistance:Under heavy axial or peak impact forces, the rigid contact area prevents excessive elastodeformation, maintaining precise shaft location.
Separable Design:Most thrust roller bearings consist of a shaft washer,a housing washer, and a roller-and-cage thrust assembly. These components can be mounted separately, simplifying installation, inspection, and maintenance.
Self-Aligning Capability (Spherical Variants):Spherical thrust roller bearings feature a barrel-shaped roller layout running on a spherical housing raceway, allowing them to tolerate initial shaft misalignments and dynamic mounting deflections.
Plastics & Rubber Extruders:Installed directly behind the main drive screw in plastic injection molding and extrusion machinery to absorb the massive, continuous back-thrust forces created during raw material melting and compression.
Oil Drilling & Mining Equipment:Used in rotary swivels, top drives, and mud pumps on oil rigs to handle the immense downward weight of long drill strings under high dynamic stress and shock loading.
Heavy Lifting & Marine Propulsion:Found in crane hooks, winch drums, and ship propeller shaft thrust blocks to support heavy vertical suspended loads and forward axial propulsion thrust.
Hydroelectric & Thermal Power Generation:Employed in vertical hydro-turbines,water generators, and steam turbines to support the combined vertical static weight of the rotor shaft and dynamic fluid thrust.
Industrial Metal Processing & Rolling Mills:Integrated into roll-neck assemblies and screw-down mechanisms in hot/cold steel rolling mills to sustain severe peak axial impact forces.
Automotive Transmissions & Differentials:Compact thrust needle roller bearings are widely used in automatic transmissions, planetary gearsets, and air conditioning compressors where axial space is severely restricted.

Complete Product Stock & Customization Capacity
Full standard TTSV and TTSX series spherical thrust roller bearings are kept in stock for fast delivery within 5-12 working days. Our senior mechanical engineering team provides one-stop customized development, including special self-aligning angle optimization, stainless steel anti-corrosion modification,high-temperature lubrication matching and non-standard size production. The delivery cycle for custom bearings ranges from 4 to 10 weeks based on drawing complexity and material supply.
Strict Full-Process Quality Control
100% full inspection is implemented for all finished thrust roller bearings.Raw steel undergoes spectral and metallographic inspection first;finished products are tested for rotational runout, rigidity, limit speed, temperature rise and fatigue load.Complete material certificates and SGS third-party inspection reports can be provided upon customer request.
Advanced Intelligent Production Lines
Equipped with large heavy-duty CNC lathes,CBN ultra-precision grinders and automatic roller sorting equipment. The MES production management system tracks every processing procedure to ensure dimensional tolerance stable up to P4 ultra-precision grade. All raceway surfaces adopt superfinishing technology to lower friction and temperature rise during operation.
Global Logistics & Professional Technical Support
We cooperate with global sea and air freight carriers, supporting FOB,CIP,DAP and all mainstream international trade terms.Professional after-sales engineers supply remote technical consultation and on-site installation guidance for overseas equipment manufacturers all year round.
